Ngiam Tong Boon created the pink long drink at Raffles Hotel around 1915, reportedly disguising it as a socially acceptable fruit punch for women. This is a clearly labeled house field riff rather than a historical classic: Elderflower brings a perfumed, polished accent suited to a diplomatic reception.

Ingredients

11 1/2 oz gin
21/2 oz cherry liqueur
31/4 oz herbal liqueur
42 oz pineapple juice
51/2 oz lime juice
6Bitters
