Negroni
Gin · Italy · Last request
“If I don't make it, make me a Negroni: 1 ounce London dry gin, 1 ounce sweet vermouth, 1 ounce Campari, and Orange peel. Stir with ice, strain over a large cube, and express an orange peel.”
Origin story
Tradition credits Count Camillo Negroni with asking for a stiffer Americano in Florence around 1919. The bartender replaced soda with gin, creating an enduring aperitivo.
