Old Fashioned: Green Room

Louisville, United States America/New_York

History

By the 1880s, drinkers asking for a cocktail made the old-fashioned way meant spirit, sugar, water, and bitters—the original cocktail formula. This is a clearly labeled house field riff rather than a historical classic: Fresh basil supplies a peppery herbal lift without masking the original recipe.
