Negroni: Midnight Cable

Florence, Italy Europe/Rome

History

Tradition credits Count Camillo Negroni with asking for a stiffer Americano in Florence around 1919. The bartender replaced soda with gin, creating an enduring aperitivo. This is a clearly labeled house field riff rather than a historical classic: Aromatic bitters pull warm spice and orange peel into the foreground.
