Margarita: Smoke Screen

Tijuana, Mexico America/Tijuana

History

Many claim its invention, but the Margarita likely evolved in 1930sโ€“40s Mexico from the Daisy: spirit, citrus, and orange liqueur. Margarita is Spanish for daisy. This is a clearly labeled house field riff rather than a historical classic: Smoked salt sharpens the base spirit while suggesting a distant getaway fire.
