Goan Feni Sour: Midnight Cable
Goa, India Asia/Kolkata
History
Goa’s potent cashew feni dates to the 16th-century Portuguese introduction of cashew trees. The sour format softens and showcases its famously aromatic character. This is a clearly labeled house field riff rather than a historical classic: Aromatic bitters pull warm spice and orange peel into the foreground.
